Critic mag “Variety” clues in on “Compound Eye” at the 30th annual Mill Valley Fest. Reviewer Dennis Harvey finds self in situation of liking the Eye, then scribing lovely web-only review. Just got word that “Compound Eye” will make its second screening at the DNA Film Festival, the weekend of Oct. 12-14. No word yet on screening times, but I will update this post as soon as I know. Screenings are held in Atom Egoyan’s Camera Bar, a movie theater / cocktail bar, in downtown Toronto. With only 13 days to go before the festival, the notification comes too late for me to attend, but if anyone sees the movie at the festival, please let me know how the screening went.

Sun. Oct. 7, 5:30pm at the CineArts@Sequoia theater in Mill Valley
Sat. Oct. 13, 2:45pm at the Rafael Film Center in San Rafael
Tickets go on sale Sept. 16 on the Mill Valley website.
It would be great to see all of you make it out to one of the screenings and let Mill Valley know they’re doing a great thing by showcasing local filmmakers.
